William wanted to read through the Memory Jar today! As we did, we shared many laughs, but I was mostly amazed at the memories I read with Kyle's name on them, that I would have thought were really William's!! We always say that William is Kyle's personality in Zachary's body!!

This evening for dinner, I decided we were going to go on a picnic - just the six of us!! So we packed up and headed for the Anderson Ferry and went to Fernbank Park, aka The Park Where Catherine Got Pooped On - probably two years ago, but William remembers it like it was yesterday!! Dinner was just sandwiches, homemade salsa, celery, chips, and grapes, but it was delicious and the company was perfect!! Sitting in the shade with my favorite people!! Afterwards, I tried to recreate "The Tree Picture" from the last two years and "The Bench" picture also. Can't imagine when all four kids will willingly cooperate for a picture together!! "One day", I tell them, "you will look at these pictures and have all kinds of stories to tell!"

William Gym Jeans

William informed me that "you can't wear jeans on gym days because your legs get sweaty and stick to the jeans!" Sounds like he knows what he's talking about!

Back to School

Yesterday was the first day of the 2010 - 2011 school year - hard to believe. Zachary is a Freshman, Kyle & Catherine 7th grade, William Kindergarten. Morning 1 went very well - everyone was up dressed and ready to go and we even had time for 1st day of school pictures!!




Catherine had her first volleyball game of the season yesterday and they won - yeah, followed by game two today and they won again!!

Zachary is jumping right into activities also, with Forensics today after school, followed by Art Class tonight - he has been gone since 6:45 am and is still not home at 8:30 pm! He is sure to be exhausted.

Kyle is just exhausted after spending the summer sleeping until 11 am. We arrived home after the volleyball game only to find him sleeping - before 7 pm!!

William will never admit that he is enjoying kindergarten, but I have spies at the school who have reported seeing him having fun on the playground and in the classroom. He can't seem to remember the names of any of his new friends, but he sure does talk to them a lot during school, as his conduct went from green to yellow to red today!!

Summer 2010

Words of Wisdom by William

So, I'm singing a song and William says "I don't like that song because it says Jesus Massage Lord of All" and I'm laughing so hard, and say to him "It really says, Jesus Messiah, Lord of All". He then says to me "Was that funnier than when I said to you "You broke my brain"?"

Does this blog have a second life?

What are the chances that this blog will come back to life?

Tomorrow marks the official 1st day of the Summer of 2010! Although we have had a lot of fun already this summer, we are sure to have lots more things to talk about. We have been strawberry picking and blueberry picking already this year! I think it's the first time we've done both berries in the same year!!

Also, we have played host to six additional children while their parents took a vacation to Hawaii. It was a long nine nights and nine days, but it was a lot of fun.

Today we celebrated Father's Day first at home with Dad's favorite Gluten Free Meal -General Tso's Chicken with rice - delicious if I do say so myself!!

We then went to Grandpa a Grandma's home for Father's Day there with all the cousins and aunts and uncles! It was a good, long day!!
